UCLA invites sun-seeking, stick-around students and eager interns to lodge with us this summer. You’ll explore more and stress less in clean, secure and affordable shared rooms, surrounded by a vibrant, camera-ready campus that’s near all of Los Angeles’ epic experiences. This community on ‘The Hill’ (student-speak for UCLA’s extensive residential complex) offers perks where traditional hostels are lacking. A sprawling fitness center ensures you stay fit on the road. Of course, it wouldn’t be summer in SoCal without swimming pool access, so we’ve included that too. When you need to take care of business, we keep you connected with free Wi-Fi and relaxing work zones. Daily partial housekeeping and on-site laundry keep you looking fresh, even when your luggage has seen more miles than an LA Metro bus driver. Speaking of which, the university location is a busy public transit hub, with multiple local and regional lines whisking commuters to Hollywood, Santa Monica beaches, Downtown and far beyond. The recent addition of designated rideshare zones makes it easier than ever to e-hail a ride. And we also offer Bike Sharing for quick jaunts around campus or down to Westwood Village. Visit UCLA this summer for the authentic SoCal student experience, minus the homework.

The most satisfying way to explore Los Angeles is through its vibrant food scene. Wander the hallowed stalls of Downtown’s historic Grand Central Market. Compare pour-over coffee at dozens of hip cafes. Splurge on drinks from award-winning mixologists, or track down that boba tea shop your favorite chef once Tweeted about. Instagram-worthy dishes beckon from every food truck, while quick trips to In-N-Out inspire emoji-heavy reactions from jealous friends back home. #blessed? You bet.
When work keeps you on campus or you’ve overdone the fun, UCLA’s award-winning dining is close at hand to keep you fed in the best possible way. All-you-care-to-eat residential restaurants dish out classic comfort food throughout the summer, while quick-service boutique cafes offer familiar standards without the effort of venturing far from your laptop (or bed). Just visit the Front Desk to purchase a meal ticket for the residential restaurants, or pay with credit card at the cafe (sorry, no cash accepted).
